With Bated Breath
Alex Taylor’s program notes are featured below:
“With Bated Breath” was inspired by a choreographic method called “open structure collaboration.” In September [2009], the choreographer along with the dancers began exploring various ways to generate phrase work and how to funnel all of the ideas into one cohesive work. This work was also heavily influenced by the sound score, by Sam L. Richards, in its final stages. “With Bated Breath” was also performed at the 2010 Northwest Conference of the American College Dance Festival.
