Written for cello quartet. Nietzsche’s aphoristic nature has always impressed me, and he imbued philosophy with poetry in the face of stale and esoteric jargon. He was an expert at transforming technical and literal descriptions into literary ones, while drawing on a vast array of metaphors and human insight. The Abyss Gazes Also Into You.
