Each day I encounter a handful of beautiful and formative circumstances. Sound and light combine to create a moment, a phrase, or gesture in my life that is short yet complete. This sequence of short films, featuring floundering snails after a rainstorm, exhibit the unique circumstances of a single afternoon. Many have expressed a visceral disgust at the sight of giant snails on a screen. Please know that in what I have filmed and created, disgust did not even occur to me and it was certainly not my intent to produce that response in the viewer. It was not disgust that I wanted to express; I only saw, experienced, and intended to express visceral beauty.
